Child’s Play India Foundation’s Summer Concert is open to all children and young people. We are delighted with the response, with participants coming from all over Goa. Our participants this year included 60+ orchestral players and 50+ choir singers.
The summer orchestra, in particular, was designed to give young people a chance to experience what it is like to play in an ensemble. Many of our children attend private music lessons but do not have the access or opportunity to see the bigger picture, which they get when they are playing together with their peers and other experienced musicians. At our summer orchestra, we aim to give young people this experience and hope that they will join in our other orchestral endeavours in the future. We look forward to having more such concerts in the future.
