On December 16, we invited the general public to come and meet our two visiting woodwind players – Stuart Potter (bassoon) and Akihide Noguchi (clarinet). We also invited our flute teacher Susan Badiyari to come along.
Both Stuart and Hide demonstrated the various parts of their instruments and how to them together.
They each played individually…
and together…
Susan Badiyari showed the audience what a recorder looks like and explained how this was the first instrument most children in Europe are exposed to.
Susan’s student Nigel played some melodies for the audience.
It was an interesting Sunday morning for the people who came, especially the children in the audience.
